Schools

For Northwood College we have designed a new centre for the performing arts in a Middlesex conservation area.

The accommodation includes: a full orchestra recital hall, a large drama studio, class rooms, practice rooms, a recording suite and ancillary accommodation.

Our practice was commissioned in January 2003 with the building work commencing on site in late July 2003 to allow occupation of the building by the school for the following year.

The building has been designed with a low pitched roof and with a horizontal emphasis to the elevations to respect the scale of the surrounding school buildings and semi rural quality of the site.

Our practice is currently engaged in development of Northwood’s Master-plan and designs for an early years centre, for nursery and reception children, and the redevelopment of the assembly building to form the new hub of the school, with a dining hall, staff accommodation and sixth form centre.

A design and technology centre has been completed for the City of London School for Girls. It provides 2 large studio classrooms, a central kiln area and ancillary accommodation in the undercroft of the main school building.
